The Honda TRX250R Four Wheeler was in production from 1986 through 1989. Although we focus primarily on the ATC250R, the four wheel sibling is also a history maker and it most definitely has earned an honorable mention here.

History of the TRX 250R

The TRX250R made its debut in 1986 and enjoyed a production run until 1989. the Honda TRX250R was essentially the quad version of the Honda ATC250R, and it replaced the ATC250R as Honda's high-performance two-stroke ATV in the late 1980s.

The ATC250R was a three-wheeled ATV, which was popular in the 1980s, but the introduction of the TRX250R signaled the beginning of the end of the three-wheeled ATV era. The TRX250R was introduced in 1986 and was produced until 1989.

It was known for its powerful 2-stroke engine, light weight, and great handling, making it a popular choice for racing and off-road enthusiasts. The TRX250R has since become a classic ATV and is highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts.
